In the UK and the EU, a food supplement may only make health claims that have been scientifically assessed and authorised. In Leanela, that applies to chromium.

Caffeine

120 mg per sachet – roughly what a cup of filter coffee contains, depending on how it is brewed. If you stir Leanela into coffee, the caffeine from both adds up. There is no authorised health claim for caffeine and weight management.

Green coffee extract, L-carnitine and curcumin are popular in weight-management products, but none of them has an authorised health claim. Statements such as "supports fat burning" or "boosts metabolism" on the box are the manufacturer's own and are not repeated here. Is Leanela vegan and gluten-free?

According to the manufacturer, Leanela is plant-based, vegan, gluten-free and made without genetic engineering. The ingredients on the label are consistent with that; we have not seen an independent certificate.

Can I take it with my morning coffee?

Yes – the label names coffee or water. Just keep your total caffeine for the day in mind, and skip other caffeinated drinks if you are sensitive to caffeine.
